We have
been singing the Gospel for 40 years, and
what an incredible journey it has been!
From our humble beginnings back in February
1969 to May 2009, God has been with us every
step of the way.
During our 40th
Anniversary Homecoming, Arvil and Alan were
both presented with appreciation awards for
their unwavering dedication and service for
40 years of singing the gospel. The
original King's Messengers were on hand to
sing a few of their well known songs.
Although Billy Smith has gone on to meet the
Lord, his voice was clearly heard through
Randy, making this year's reunion complete.
Danny Austin and Trillman Steele both made
an appearance, an event that hasn't happened
in several years. We have
determined to sing as long as the Lord will
let us, and we hope it will be a very long
time!
The Friendship Quartet were our special
guests, for which Trillman Steele sings
bass. Larry Hood is their bass
guitarist, and is Kevin's dad. |
